Positive Intelligence Program: JR Coaching Edition
If you're reading this, you've likely been to one of my Master Your Mind workshops or have been personally invited by me to apply for this 7 week course to transform your mind so that it starts working for you rather than against you.
80% of individuals, relationships and teams are not performing at their potential, due to our own self-sabotage. For most of us, the default patterns of our minds are working against us more than for us, leaving us feeling stuck, with great resistance to us moving forward. Like driving with the handbrakes on.
"Performance = Potential x PQ"
We're going to give a name to these default mental patterns that hold us back: the Saboteurs. We also have a wise, innovative, creative and loving part of us: our Sage.
When we learn to tap more into our Sage, and build up the mental muscles that intercept the Saboteurs, we will finally start tapping into our potential - leading to greater performance and happiness.
How do we do this? The Saboteurs and the Sage actually live in distinct areas of the brain. Using carefully designed exercises that facilitate greater neuroplasticity, we can gradually build up the Sage areas of the brain and atrophy the Saboteur regions.
If you've been to my Master Your Mind workshops, you've already been given the exercises that will facilitate this change. But transformation is only 20% insight and this process takes time and initial intense practice. This is why I'm so excited to share this 7 week course (complete with a dedicated app that you have access to for a whole year!) that will guide you through a step by step process to rewire your brain, break old and unhelpful mental patterns, and completely transform your life.
Weekly 1 Hour Video Sessions
In highly engaging sessions, Stanford Professor and coach Shirzad guides you through experiential exercises that deepen and personalize your understanding of the mental fitness tools. You leave inspired and energized for the week's daily practices.
Daily Progress Tracking
The app tracks your daily progress against minimum targets associated with new neural pathway (muscle) formation. Personalized daily coaching tips from Shirzad continue to both encourage and challenge you to keep going.
Exclusive App Guiding Your Daily Practice
Each day a different focus for daily practice is assigned through a personalized companion app available exclusively to program participants.
This builds one small muscle at a time, laying down new neural pathways to form lasting positive habits of your mind. The cumulative impact by program's end is substantial.
You will go through this process with a group of like-minded leaders and changemakers.
Joey and his team will help you craft your vision of what your life looks like when you are performing at your potential.
Interactive PQ Gym
Innovative 10-second PQ Reps build up your Self-Command muscle.
You learn to be clear-headed and calm even in the midst of great challenges, able to command your mind to shift from Saboteur to Sage response.

Hear from our graduates!
"I found the course very useful and relevant to my professional and personal life. Many aspects of the course train you to better discover yourself and suggest many effective and science-backed approaches to activate a part of your brain that maintains and nurtures your positivity and inner mindfulness regardless of situations and challenges that you are dealing with.
The e-book and mobile app that come with the course are fantastic tools that profoundly encourage and deepen my learning journey. In addition to the one-on-one support that Joey has offered, we also have POD community which is a harmonious sanctuary and is structured in a way that trust, supports, and judgement-free are prevalent."

"Highly recommend the PQ course as it really teaches you to be more forgiving towards yourself. It also implements the good habit of PQ repping which helps to calm oneself in difficult situations / busy schedule."
Hear from our graduates!
"I am a marketing officer in a private company and I used to own a small business. I started the PQ program by the time I was overwhelmed by the broken relationship with my best friend because of the business matters.
I wanted to maintain our good relationship but the day went by a lot of things had happened and it became worse. Even though I tried so many ways to heal our broken relationship but it didn't work out really well from what had happened. I can't sleep almost every night, can’t focus on what I was doing and the result I got skin problems and gained almost 10 KG over 4 months. It’s crazy when you cannot share your problem with your best friend or family and yourself don’t even know how to move on. I share my story because I believe that a lot of people who struggling and going through obstacles or living in a really bad situation in life can find their foot and get back again.
6 weeks with the PQ program made my life a lot easier. I am at peace most of the time. I no longer wait to be perfect in order to love myself. Everything is better, at work, relationships and the ways I deal with problems or negotiate with people. It helps me a lot in my daily life.
I myself would not have found myself during my lost situation if I did not join the PQ program. I really hope everyone will take the PQ program as their guide in the similar situations.
I hope you who are reading this are able to find again your own good self and never let the fear stop you from trying a new thing because you have the freedom of choice to live a better life!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the right program for me?
This is the right program for you if you are (a) committed to improving your performance and effectiveness dramatically while reducing stress, (b) looking for a science-based and trusted system to make it stick, and (c) willing to put in the initial effort to rewire years of mental habits that don't serve you.
Aren't negative emotions sometimes helpful?
Some people believe that negative emotions are helpful. For example, they think stress gives them their performance edge, or beating themselves or others up is helpful for continual improvement.
Feeling pain for a split second when your hand touches a hot stove is indeed useful, delivering an important alert. But your Saboteurs keep your hand on the hot stove, continuing to feel negative emotions which harm both performance and happiness.
In this program we learn to use negative emotions as a helpful alert, and then quickly shift to the positive region of the brain that has the calm clarity, objectivity, and creativity to handle the challenge most effectively.
Who is Shirzad Chamine?
Shirzad Chamine leads each of the weekly video sessions as well as participating daily in the exclusive online community of the program participants to answer questions.
Shirzad is the New York Times bestselling author of Positive Intelligence. He has been the CEO of the most prominent coach training organization in the world (my own, CTI) and has trained faculty at Stanford and Yale business schools.
Shirzad lectures on Positive Intelligence at Stanford University and works with Stanford’s NCAA athletes. A preeminent C-suite advisor, Shirzad has coached hundreds of CEOs and their executive teams. His background includes graduate level studies in neuroscience in addition to a BA in psychology, an MS in electrical engineering, and an MBA from Stanford.
How much time and effort is required?
You'd be committing to watching a 1-hour video once per week and doing a combined total of 15 minutes per day of practice guided by the Positive Intelligence app exclusively designed for this program.
This might sound like a lot of time. In fact, cumulatively, it constitutes less than 2% of your awake time for the duration of the program. Please consider that your Saboteurs are costing you far more than 2% of your time, effort, energy, and productivity. Consider how much more than 2% of time and productivity this six-weeks investment will save for years to come.
How is this different from reading the book?
You'd never learn to ride a bicycle by reading a book about it. You'll be asked to read the first 8 chapters of the book while participating in the program. The book provides the research foundation and introduces the tools. The video session guides you through experiential exercises that help you personalize the tools to your own personality and needs. And the app coaches you to practice one tool at a time in the context of your own daily work and life challenges.
Should we participate as a team?
Even though the focus of the program is individual development, team leaders often call this experience the best team building experience they have ever had. Going through this program together significantly deepens trust, helps clear the air related to recurrent team member conflicts since they're mostly generated by Saboteurs, and gives the entire team a common framework for helping each other grow, making decisions, responding to setbacks, and managing conflicting styles and agendas.
I'd love to do the program, but financially it isn't affordable for me right now. Is there any financial support available?
JR Coaching and other sponsors have teamed up to provide scholarships for the program. Use the 'Apply' link above and complete the relevant sections of the form. Your applications will be assessed on a case by case basis, taking into account your location, employment status and income.
Scholarships will be focused on supporting the community in Cambodia given the low income levels in the country, but consideration will also be given to how you plan to "give back" to your communities through your increased effectiveness.
Please only apply for the scholarships if finances are a real barrier to your taking the course - paying the full fee helps to support those who are less able to afford the course.
