I used to be high-profile.
I was everywhere. Not just facilitating, coaching, training, speaking and "doing the work", but also mingling and networking. Being seen.
If you were in the leadership space in Cambodia, you probably saw me or heard about me. Even if you weren't, you may still have heard about me.
I gave Tedx talks, went to every networking event, and rubbed shoulders with the young movers and shakers of Cambodia.
And then I got quiet. I took a massive step back from the spotlight.
After leading Thrive Conference - the first conference of its kind about on mental health where we brought together government, education, business, religious and mental health leaders under one roof - I felt burnt out. It was meaningful, powerful, and necessary. But it also took more from me than I had left to give. And it took time to recover - not just physically, mentally and emotionally, but spiritually too.
So I slowed down and stepped away from the limelight.
I took time to recover. I let myself explore the other parts of me that hadn’t had room to breathe.
I played music. I sang.
I worked out and got really strong.
I trained as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. I bought a gym.
I found the love of my life and invested in my relationship. Setting the foundations for a lifetime together.
I kept coaching.
Quietly, consistently, working with long-term clients and partnering on projects internationally. Supporting leaders and creatives navigating big transitions behind the scenes. Leveraging my international networks, I worked with a volunteer team to run the CCI Coach Match Program, which connected Cambodian coaches to received affordable coaching from more experienced international coaches.
I sponsored coaching training for the entire teaching faculty of a school in Phnom Penh - to demonstrate the positive impact that coaching can have in education.
We trained a cohort of experienced coaches, with students from beyond Cambodia - Vietnam, Canada and the US - one of whom will soon be joining our CCI team.
I wasn’t ever "gone".
I was simply doing the work in a different posture, under less spotlight and more exploration.
And now, it's time for me to make a return. To be seen again.
Doing the work I’ve always believed in.
Sharing messages that cuts through noise of this world.
Opening up programs and coaching to people I haven’t worked with before.
Not back to how I was before, but back to what matters most.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more about the work I'm putting my energy into now, the kind of clients I'm looking to work with, and what transformation really looks like from the inside out.
If you’ve been with me all this time since the early days - thank you.
If you’re new - welcome.
Either way, I’m here. I’m ready. Stay tuned.
